Dorsal Horn

1. Lateral Division

    1) Unmyelinated C or Aδ fibers → 느림

    2) Substantia gelatinosa (Lamina 2)와 연접 

    3) 일부는 dorsolateral tract of Lissauer를 거쳐 인접 척수분절(상하 2~3) 로 들어감

    4) Lamina 1, 4, 5, 6에서 나온 axon이 spinothalamic tract(통각 및 온각)가 됨

 

2. Medial division

    1) Myelinated A fibers로 dorsal funiculus의 F.gracilis and cuneatus가 됨(Discriminative sense, Proprioception 담당

    2) 일부는 lamina 9 에서 motor neuron과 연결하여 stretch reflex 를 일으킴

Ventral Horn

1. Large alpha motor neurons(α) 

• Lamina 9의 multipolar neurons
• Axon: 뼈대근(extrafusal fibers) 운동을 조절 
• Motor unit : no. of muscle fibers / no. of motor neurons

        1) small motor unit : 손, 안구 등과 정교한 운동을 하는 근육

        2) large motor unit : 몸통, 하지 등과 같이 큰 힘을 요하는 근육

 

2. Small gamma motor neurons(γ)

• α motor neuron 보다 작고 수 적음
• Axon: 뼈대근(intrafusal fibers) 운동을 조절
• Gamma reflex loop 구성 → muscle tone, reflex에 관여

 

3. Renshaw cells

• 작은 interneuron
• 역할: motor neuron에 feedback

        1) α motor neuron의 가지로부터 excitatory synaptic input 받음

        2) motor neuron에 inhibitory synaptic output을 보냄

        3) 근처의 운동신경세포를 억제 -> 가장 자주 흥분하는 운동신경세포의 지배를 받는 근육에 운동명령을 집중시킴
